In order to keep up with the increasing demand of internal testing, we invested in a new giant test rig for rotary shaft lip-type seals, which is added to the other test rigs at our Basiano facilities.

New seal design can be tested on a larger scale and endurance trials can be offered to customers.

The main market justifying the investment is windpower, which is going for increasing seal sizes.

Our new test rig is able to replicate the challenging working conditions of radial lip seals fitted on the main bearing of giant wind turbine generators.

Here some features of the test rig:

• Fluid pressure: 0 to 5 bar
• Temperature: +5°C to +100°C
• Static Off Set: 0 to 5mm
• Dynamic runout: 0 to 20mm
