Hydropower is a traditional market for CARCO-PRP.

In the long run our seal variety has grown a lot and today our hydropower seal package comprises different profiles and materials for:

  • Kaplan, Francis and Pelton turbines: seal kit for turbine shaft, blade seals, wicket gate seals;
  • spherical and butterfly valves: mobile ring seals, lens seal, trunnion seals;
  • servomotors: various seals;
  • gate wheel bearings: rotary shaft seals;
  • gate hydraulic cylinders: seals;
  • various gaskets for the gate.

Our technical department also suggests guide rings and bearings made of materials suitable for the hydropower environment.

Our technology enables the gluing and hot jointing of split seals on site, to avoid costly dismantling of parts of hydropower machineries.
